BOOK LOVERS’ MORNING TEA

Come for cake and cuppas, mingle with local authors and hear extracts from their work. A chance to chat with writers and purchase signed copies of their books*. Co-hosted by authors E S Moxon and Louise Ann Knight and featuring two guest authors.

Su Whale is a freelance writer and florist. She has written three books on the care of cut flowers, cut foliage and houseplants and runs an independent publishing house with her husband.

Ed Hill [TBC] writes thrillers. In ‘Gem Maguire’, Gem and his pals are kidnapped by Al Qaeda while taking part in an international endurance event. In ‘Joxer Daley’ Irishmen in WW1 are caught up in a Dublin uprising against the King and must decide which side they are on.

Louise Ann Knight writes fantasy and modern fiction. ‘Sky Drum’ is about 2 planets and the people that unite them and is soon to have a sequel. ‘Spirals’ is 100 poems about nature, science, the sacred and sublime.

The venue has a cafe, toilets and limited parking; with spaces in nearby roads. 5 minutes from J2 of the M42, a 5 minute drive from Northfield and Longbridge rail links (10 minutes from Kings Norton) and 250 yards walk from 45/47 bus terminal (by St John Fisher Church).

‘Writing in the Dark (Ages)’

How choosing to write in the 5th Century poses problems, challenges (and fun!), for Historical Fiction author E S Moxon. Refreshments available from Friends of Northfield Library. Signed copies of ‘WULFSUNA’ available for purchase direct from the author.

A friendly, writers’ group for adults of all abilities and genres. Priced at £5/pp per meeting [including refreshments] and paid quarterly in advance, we welcome anyone over the age of 18.
